Weekend drive before fall goes away!

It is no secret that Peter loves the outdoors. When I first met him 5.5 years ago, I thought I had found a man that loved most the stuff I did, AND I wouldn't have to get out and enjoy nature....not true. I wasn't so much a nature fan, and it has taken some persuading, but now I love getting out in the spring and summer/fall, but I'm still struggling with winter "sports". (so sue me, I'm trying!! ;) )

A couple weekends ago, Peter wanted to go for a drive with me and Elsje. We drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon. I made my "chopped salad" recipe that I have posted on this blog, we packed up a dinner for Elsje, and we took off all afternoon into the evening. What a fun time. It was warmish cool, sunglasses needed, and camera in hand, we hiked a small trail, ate our food, and took some fun pics. Miss Elsje seemed to enjoy being outside and had a great attitude! Enjoy some pics of our fun day, including seeing a moose enjoy a nice dinner and drink!

and yes, for the record, I AM pregnant...haha

Peter purchased a pair of glasses for miss Elsje, and they are so cute on her, but they bend her ears down a little which mom doesn't like so much!
