10 Weeks......

So today I hit a milestone....only 10 more weeks (hopefully this one isn't overdue) of my pregnancy left! I'm secretly wishing today was my due date, but didn't we all at this point?? jk

This pregnancy was very hard on me, and I was sick for a long time....24 weeks to be exact. It seems at 24 weeks, my morning sickness was gone, I had a little more energy, and I was just plain happier. I can't decide if the difference between Elsje's easy breezy pregnancy and this pregnancy was because I've been pregnant for just about 18 months straight, or because each child is different. I'm sure its some of both. I think Peter secretly hopes that because this pregnancy so far has been hard, I won't want any more kids....boy is he sorely mistaken! haha I look back a few months to when Elsje was this itty bitty baby to now when shes romping on her knees to crawl, and independent, eating meals all by herself thanks to her very accurate pincher fingers, and I'm excited to go through that all over in just a short couple of months.

Even though pregnancy is hard, and tiring, and sometimes just plain stinks, I'm glad women have the opportunity to carry these children from conception to birth. There is nothing like feeling your baby kick, or empathizing when they have the hiccups, or just feeling them change positions in your belly. Im thankful for my baby Elsje, and I'm thankful for this other little one just growing big enough to be born. I'm glad I have a loving husband who is willing to work hard for our family. Even though times are tough right now, I sure am glad I have blessing to fall back on.......

  1. Annisa,

Hang in there! You're so close, it will be over before you know it. It's funny how we forget how miserable pregnancy can get and find ourselves so willing (and happy) to do it again. Well I guess it is a good thing our memories fail us!

This little guy is going to be so loved. He's a lucky boy!

  3. thanks to both of you for your comments. Marian, I do find it funny that we forget so easily. Elsjes delivery was pretty textbook but maybe I'm just making that up in my mind so I'll talk myself into doing this again...haha!

Karen, I'm not sure how you did it 7 times, but you are the woman. And you have awesome children to show for it.

thanks to both of you for being a part of my life.
